Shortcut to Page ONE Of Google

My favorite shortcut to page one of Google is to put up a Facebook Page with a very specific, geographically oriented keyword as its name.

If you have a “local” business — a business that primarily serves a limited geographical area– use this hack to get your business’s phone ringing and your door swinging!

One of SEVEN Hacks to get your local business on Google. Hack #2 is simple, powerful, effective… and needs NO tech savvy

What ‘Local’ Businesses Qualify for This Shortcut to Page One?

The kinds of “local” businesses best suited for this shortcut to Page ONE of Google fall into three categories:

  1. Brick and Mortar” businesses – gym, bakery, coffee shop, bicycle sales and repair, garage, hair salon, auto body and more. A definite location.
  2. Service” businesses – personal trainer, plumber, painter, contractor, wedding photographer and more. A definite service area.
  3. Professional” businesses – dentist, attorney, Realtor, chiropractor, architect, amd more. A definite, mostly local clientele.

Although it’s possible to get a purely online venture (like an Etsy store, or a cartooning course) on page one of Google results using this shortcut… it’s much easier to use this hack for “local” businesses like the ones listed above.

Basically, if your business mostly serves people near you, it’s a candidate for this shortcut to page one.

On July 2, 2018 I began piecing together a Facebook Page that’s named using this formula:

[the geographical area your business serves]

By July 6, 2018… less than 96 hours later… this page was being found on page one of Google for that keyword!

A number of other hacks are important to get your small business a similar page one shortcut.

But [keyword] + [your local area] is the starting point.

Other Elements of This Shortcut to Page One

Your customers should be able to know IMMEDIATELY what your page is about, even if they are scrolling images on their phone.

TIP: Use a maximum of five words to identify yourself as the solution your customer is searching for.

The profile and banner images should convey the problem that your customer is facing, or the desired result. These pics have both!

Make it clear and quick: FIVE words maximum to communicate the benefit

TIP: It’s worth the investment to have a consultant that’s visually minded and that gets it, marketing-wise. I’m not that smart; I hire this part of the process out.

If your local small business is listed on the first page of Google, that’s a BIG help.

But if the “metadescription” doesn’t have a call to action, it may not be compelling enough to click on or get your prospective customer to call.

TIP: Use the “About” section to feature your contact information and give them a reason to call.
